Clawhammer
Clawhammer are a somewhat unusual band. Although this could be expected as they take their name from a Captain Beefheart song. However this album was released on Epitaph records in the mid 90's when it seemed every band on that label was designer pop-punk for ESPN's extreme sports segments. There is a Captain Beefheart feel on this album but it seems to be filtered through the spirit of Dread Zeppelin. Remember them? Oh, by the way, Dave Naz, the Chemical People drummer plays the guitar and fiddle on Pablum.

Clawhammer! Jeezus, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Still have some of their old 7" singles on Sympaty, good stuff.
